More Please

Well hullo again my prettys!!On rereading yesterdays blog entry (typos and all) I decided it was a bit lame-o so have returned for a second attempt today - on my glorious day off with hot hot weather, sitting here, typing away feeling the hot blood pulsing through my veins. I wonder if veins get smallerin hot weather and that's why I can feel them pulsing more....
On Saturday last weekend, we went to the beach and went for a walk. We just went to beach just over the harbour bridge - Takapuna. It was gorgeous. Then, despite a cool/cold breeze, we decided to go for a quick dip. It was pretty good once we were in but then Dave got stung by a tiny jellyfish and I totally freaked out and ran out of the water. There were all these little orange coloured jellyfish - everywhere. Saturday night we went out for dinner with Dave's folks (a day late birthday event) and Reese (Dav'e bro) and his grlfriend - who, I have to say, is much easier to cope with in a group situation than what she was last time I met her and we were alone together while the boys were surfing. Sunday I went for a quick dip at high tide at the beach at the bottom of our street - yum. I thought it was going to be muddy on the bottom - but it wasn't, it was just shelly. Then Sunday afternoon we went to Parnell baths which are swimming pools but salt water ones. Got a tan and had a swim - couldn't even do 1 lap without feeling like my lungs were going to explode/collapse - got about half way! We have been madly preparing for the Annual Awards Celebration at the YWCA. It is part of the Future Leaders programme that I work on. It is on Monday and there will be about 300 people coming - mtnors, students and their families. Lots to organise but it's been ok. Today was my day off so I met up with my personal trainer to get a new programme. She has put in lots of challenges which is wicked cos I was getting really bored. Then I did a yoga class where we were doing all these postures which, if one was flexible enough, would eventually lead into doing the splits - I thought I would never get up again my hips felt so tight! Had a shower at the gym then picked up my mate Sophie (who's over from Sweden) and went to Savemart - a seriously huge opshop. Got some awesome bargains - a couple I'm not sure I'll ever wear. The est buy was this short sleeved, cutsie black shirt with pink piping around the collar and sleeves. I saw it, grabbed it, tried it on and when I turned around I realised that on the back, there was a picture of a 50s style waitress standing in front of a car (printed in pink) and the words "Donna's drive in diners"!!! It fits me perfectly. And now, I'm doin this and who knows what next!
Have a fantastic weekend everybody, hope the weather there is as sticky as it has been here - love it!

Me=Slacka

Some interesting things have happened in the last few weeks since I last updated this here blog. The first, and to me most surprising, is that I have rediscovered the passion for the colour pink that existd and in fact, reigned supreme, in my early childhood years....The second is that I got a chest infection which put me on my bum for a good week....The third is that my parents flew in for a surprise visit for a weekend and we had a ball together laughing and tour guiding and parents meeting parents...The fourth is that I turned 27 and had a brunch with my new found girlfriends as wellas getting totally spoiled AND sharing my birthday with Dav'e mum!!!...The fifth that I won a writing competition that I entered a while ago in a magazine and I will be recieving an Elle McPherson 3 piece underwear set in the mail asap...The sixth that I had a toothache on my top left side of my oral orifice and went to the dentist today and got xrayed and apparantly I have 2 holes in the exact same place the pain is - but on the right side! and will be looking at 2 fillings in January and the high possiblity of a couple of root canals in the next year or two (I took the news bravely, even if I do say so myself - no tears, no shaking, just a nervous giggle and "oh no"....The seventh is that that is all I can think of to say!!!!
I will be sure to write more when I am working less and playing more and have a little more to say!
Love to u all.
