Popcorn, Mousse & Private Beaches

We have new neighbours. They live in the front part of the house that we live at the back of and there are 4 people that live under us (they've been there since we moved in). There are 4 teenage girls that moved into the front part and their wall joins the hallway outside our bedroom. Friday night was the first night they were here and they were squealing and playing loud music and it got to 3am and we were so over it so Dave got up and went and knocked on their door and explained that they are sharing the house with 6 other people (including the people below). They were very apologetic and there was not a peep after that! Anyway, bit of a disturbed sleep. I'm all confused and trying to type every day all together at once and that won't make sense at all so I'm going to do this systematically because I amhaving trouble concentrating for some reason...
TODAY: woke up at 6:30, lay in bed reading the paper. Dave got up and went to go flying and do his 3 take offs and landings and some mid flight stalls with an instructor to get up to date again - he has to do it every 3 months if he hasn't been flying regularly. He left at 8ish. I got up, did the dishes and did a load of washing and tidied a bit. Then I did the books for the last week of Dave's landscaping business stuff. Now I'm here. I'm going to go to the gym for a spa and sauna and maybe yoga soon cos I am sore from the last couple of days of gym. We're going to go see Sin City tonight.
SATURDAY: Got up and went ot the gym - trained with Dave for the first time in a while. Did back and abs and man, my shoulders are caning today! Got home and read the paper in bed after having scrambled eggs, baked beans, mushrooms, red onion and spinach on toast. Got up and went for a walk to the bottom of our road cos it was such nice weather. There's a little beach at the bottom of the road (5 minute walk if that) and there's little concrete sunbed things so we chilled out down there looking att he water with the North Shore and the Harbour Bridge in the background. Got inspired to buy a little dinghy and some oars so we can go floating around in summer. Went for a little walk around the beach then went and did our groceries. Then I made some chocolate mousse and read a trashy magazine that Dave had bought. We made some chicken and cheese toasties and then didn't feel like dinner so went and got a funny feelgood vid called "Hitch" and pigged out on incredibly lushly rich choccy mousse and popcorn - that was dinner! Crashed out about 11:30 which is late for me!
FRIDAY: went to yoga then went and saw some friends then went to this cool shop called Jeff's Emporium that has fabric and dressups and art stuff and is pretty cheap. Got 2 canvasses and some masking tape and some funky ribbons for my oh so long hair. Then got home and painted and boogied around with the hairdrier to dry the paint. Did the best painting I've ever done I reckon. Very cool. Then we went and met up with Dave's bro and his grl and his son Finn for Reese's b'day (Dave's bro). Then had earlyish night - except for the noise from our new neighbours.
THURSDAY: really busy day at work but ended up having a meeting in a place called Manukau which is down the Southern motorway and I got there a bit early so I wandered around these indoor markets I found and picked up a checked business card case and an Emily The Strange handbag for only $15!
Work was flat out all week - had a Careers Night for the girls that I'd organised on Wednesday and the Mentee-Mentor Matchup Activity Night for Mt Roskill (new school onto the programme) on Tuesday night. That went from 4-8pm and was very exhausting running games and get to know each other stuff.
Monday night writing was fun - we ended up talking about boys and stuff for 1.5 hours and then wrote a quick poem - mine was kinda nonsensical but one of the girls was like "that's awesome - that's like the last year of your life and meeting Dave and I even get the feel of what it's like to be in bed with him!!" And, on that note, I'll say seeya for now and here's the poem:

Gargoyle gargled vomit
gloating in the throat
taught tense
in suspense
and waiting hasty hating
for next time
It was scrumptious
mooshy lushness
luscious in its mush
cradling puppy quiet
grazing out to lunch
huff puff blue"wake up you" - you do
and see my line of vision
through the kitchen
my Zimbabwe
my way
that road
past the old toad - spotted
hot and bothered
yellow as the path
Dorothy followed.
Wham
Bam
Rest
Perservere
to the popsicle stand
in the grandiose riverland
past where the hobbits lie
dim dark and dazzled
frosty fire fiesty guide
leading flummage to the hob
of the nob
top of the pops
and resting
laying down to sleep.
