sand in my crack tells me summer's comin'

It is Sunday. I wonder if orange is too hard too read? I wonder if the font is too small? I wonder why I feel so tired today then remember that being busy busy busy catches up with me periodically. I wonder to the point of cpnfusion then remember that I don't need to be wondering and geton with living. It's a predictable and amusing cycle really!
I got up at 6am this morning and we toodled off to Takapuna market (on the North Shore) to check it out as I am thinking of doing a stall there asap. There was no handmade jewellery, only sparkly, imported stuff so Ithink I could have a market there. I'll give it a go. I met a guy who is going to let me hire one of his trestles for $5 and the market costs $25 and it's all sounding fine and dandy. Then I find out that to get a stall, I need to get there at 1 or 2 in the morning and queue. Leading up to xmas, I need to get there at 8pm the night before to queue if I want to ge ta spot! Hard-out! Then we did our grocery shopping then I had a massive nap and have just had an omelette and am now sliding slowly into the afternoon in a haze of coloured beads and this keyboard.
Yesterday we went for a big walk (bout an hour) then I made heaps of jewellery then had a nap (I am lovin the nanna naps - I'll make a good old lady!) then went and we met some friends for dinner. It was Guy Fawkes last night which meant loads of fireworks so we all (6 in Dave's car) went down to the Viaduct/Waterfront at the bottom of town to watch the public display. It was impossible to find a park so our friend Debbie had her red raincoat on and looked kinda official and we just parked right on the edge of the waterfront and she directed all other cars away! It was hilarious. We had THE primo spot and the display was awesome. Then Nick - another firend we were with said he had some fireworks in the back of his car. We headed back to where he was parked (not far from where we live) and let off all these fireworks in the carpark! It was awesome. I was totally chicken (along with all the girls) and we cowered in the back of the station wagon praying they wouldn't explode sideways and come in and get us! It was really fun - lots of screaming and laughter.
I worked all week starting off thinking it's be a quiet week but it wasn't! The Executive Director resigned and all these other little things happened and the week was kinda chaotic. I had to work late Tuesday night running an Orientation session for new mentors with with colleague. All went well.
I worked all the week before too - including Saturday and on Sunday we ended up flying to great Barrier island (maybe I already wrote about that?) and I got to have a little fly. We walked across to the beach and had a picnic. Then Dave got all crazy and started wrestling me and I ended up with sand in my butt and down my back and through my hair and we had big laughs. There was sand in the bed all week!
Everything is cruisin smooth. I have one more day of induction at the detox where I am working and then I'll be on shifts with me as the AOD worker and a caregiver to help out. Yay.
